Below are a few guidelines that we need to undertake in making sure the layout and structures of our stories are just the way our audiences like it..
You may use a minimum of two pictures or videos in each story.
Underneath all pictures or videos indicate the source (linking back to its origin) or the person who has lent us the courtesy to use it. We highly recommend using pictures under Creative Commons License
All the pictures or videos used should be relevant to the story
When writing a piece that has been inspired by another piece or the information has been obtained from another site the following must be done:
At the end of your article indicate where the source of the information is from. Linking back to the sites that hold that information. Great stories have more than one source.
Clearly indicate you are providing your opinion or view to information you have discovered or found or provided for.
When writing an original story make it a point to double check the information you're presenting from a variety of sources a minimum of two is best.
You may not be journalists but it will be important to consider structuring your stories using the… 5ws and a H, Inverted Pyramid, or Three act structure. Choosing to use these techniques or a mashup of them will ensure you uphold professionalism and respect of the craft.
Be honest and passionate about with each piece you write because those are the only two values that stand the test of time.
The minimum number of words per article is 300
